- Mr. Dowling recently settled a medical malpractice case against a local family physician for failure to recommend routine screening for colon cancer. The physician claimed that he recommended to the patient that he undergo a colonoscopy, but this was not documented in the doctor's chart. The case settled following mediation for $400,000.
